The Ship of Peace arrives today in Piraeus

The legendary Ship of Peace arrives today at 11 p.m. at the port of Piraeus. On board the Ship, there are 100 survivors of the nuclear disaster of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. The passengers transfer their own tragedy all over the world and have one aim: to make people understand the danger of the nuclear power and the necessesity to abolish it. The Japanese pacifists will be welcomed by the Greek authorities and the Municipality of Piraeus, while at 1 a.m. they will give a press conference in the Town Hall of Piraeus. Similar manifestations will be held by the Greek-Japanese Association. The Ship of Peace will leave the port of Piraeus today at 11 a.m. to continue its journey around the world.
