From early April, RyanAir launches five new routes from the airport of Athens and also adds new itineraries to the existing routes from Athens to Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Santorini. More precisely, it launches new routes to Bucharest (1 daily), Berlin (1 daily), Malta (3 weekly), Bologna (4 weekly) and also Corfu (3 weekly) and Mykonos (5 weekly). The company also adds more itineraries from Athens to Thessaloniki and raises them to 7 flights per day, 2 daily flights to Rhodes and 3 daily flights to Santorini.
David O'Brien, Chief Commercial Manager of RyanAir, said that with all its itineraries in Greece the company facilitates the transportation of 3,4 million passengers per year and supports 2,550 side job positions at the International Airport of Athens.
