The Nutcracker

The famous fairytale and the GNO Corps de Ballet successful production is back with a new children’s version that will charm both kids and adults. The mesmerizing costumes are designed by Christof Cremer and the amazing choreography is by Renato Zanella.
Based on the fairytale “ The Nutcracker and the mouse king” by E. T. A. Hoffman, the “Nutcracker” was choreographed, over the years, by many famous choreographers such as George Balanchine, Yuri Grigorovich, John Cranko, Rudolf Nureyev, John Neumeier. Initially, the “Nutcracker” was in a two act form, with a choreography by Lev Ivanov and music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
What’s more, weekend performances feature the GNO Orchestra and the GNO Children’s Chorus.
