The Collection - Multiple Media Art Exhibition

The impressive works of artist/gallerist Christian Schmid are presented from March 17th to March 31st at FokiaNou Art Space. Schmid has collected, over the last two decades, nearly 60 creations of artists from Cologne, Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Athens and Boston. He got these works either by swapping them with his own creations, or by buying them.
This interesting exhibition includes photographs, drawings, paintings, encaustic works, sculptures, ceramic pieces and small installations. The exhibition combines the works of older, well-known artists with these of younger, even self-taught artists, creating a unique mix of artistic approaches,highlighted by the salon-style hanging.
Some of the artists participating in this exhibition are Enrico Bach, Seol Kwon, Silke Reeh, Christian Schmid, Dorothee Simons, Katharina Wolle, Anna Staffel, Alexander Mayer, Christian Aberle, Victoria Bell, Inge Schmitt, Irini Karayannopoulou, Dimitrios Chalatsis and Wilhelm Neusser.
