Printing exhibition in Piraeus

The past and the present of the Greek engraving art from the early 20th century till today will be presented till June 28th in the Municipal Gallery of Piraeus, which is housed in the spacious and impressive rooms of the former Post Office. The exhibition was inaugurated in June 17th and it is included in the 1st Athens Print Festival, organized by the Cultural Organization of Athens Municipality and the Association of Greek Engravers. 100 fine works of 51 artists will be presented in the Gallery of Piraeus. These works belong to 5 private collectors (Manos Ventouris, Yannis Papaconstantinou, Charalampos Georgiadis, Giorgos Rizopoulos and Iordanis Christodoulou) and present the art of excellent Greek artists, such as Dimitris Galanis, Vaso Katraki, Lykourgos Kogevinas and many others. During the exhibition, the programn Touching the Art will take place, promoted by the National Museum of Modern Art in Thessaloniki, which is addressed to blind or people with limited sight.
