The 10th annual Lycabettus Run will take place on February 23rd, 2025. Inaugurated in 2015, this thrilling event attracts thousands of participants every year, offering them the chance to run along the lovely trails of Lycabettus Hill.
Five distinct races will take place on the day of the event, with St. George Lycabettus Hotel serving as the starting and finishing point for all five. The 5.5 km and 11 km Road Races will take participants down an asphalted roundabout route, as will the 11 km Lycabettus Rally. Meanwhile, the 4.5 km and 9 km trails mostly consist of dirt roads, with runners making their way towards the top of the hill.
Access to Lycabettus Hill can be achieved by traversing a lovely trail amongst pine trees and dense vegetation. There are shaped steps that facilitate access from Ploutarchou Street, in Kolonaki. Alternatively, two cable cars make the route every 30 minutes, the starting point of which is at the end of Ploutarchou Street. During peak hours, the routes run more frequently.
