Jazzet Festival 2024

The first Jazzet Festival will take place on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of September 2024. Petra’s Theater in Petroupoli, Attica will serve as the main stage of this three-day extravaganza, located 9 km from Athens. The main objective of the festival is to celebrate the local and international jazz scene. Under the artistic direction of Lefteris Christofis, the 1st Hellenic International Jazz Festival will host performances from both Greek and global artists and aims to establish itself as an annual cultural institution.

Internationally renowned artists such as Norwegian double bassist Arild Andersen and the Grammy award-winning American drummer Paul Werico are set to take the stage under the banner of the Jazzet Festival. Composer Katerina Pipili will perform along with her quartet, as will the highly lauded “Claude Diallo Situation”. Eli Paspala will present the project “Elly Loves Jazz” with the participation of Takis Farazis and the saxophonist David Lynch, the “BYS Trio” will be joined by Haris Lambrakis and Anna Linardou and, finally, the Ninos Manos Quintet will perform, featuring leading jazz musicians from Thessaloniki.

During the festival, the open space of Petra Theatre will host a myriad of accompanying artistic activities. Those include events held by jazz dance and percussion groups and a jazz photography exhibition by John D. Camessiotis. Kiosks of various record companies, conservatories, and music schools will also be present.
