Green Day Live in Athens

Globally renowned and multi-award-winning band Green Day is set to take the stage of the EJEKT Festival on July 6th, 2025. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the EJEKT Festival is bringing the punk-rock sensation to Greece, inside the wonderful Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Marousi.

Green Day has etched a unique space in the music industry and is credited with popularizing mainstream interest in the punk-rock genre. The band was formed in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, with drummer Tré Cool joining in 1990. Their 1994 major-label debut Dookie would be a breakout success, selling over 20 million copies worldwide.

The band would follow up with more record-breaking albums, including Nimrod and American Idiot, selling over 75 million records and gaining 5 Grammy awards along the way. Τheir two shows at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in Great Britain were attended by more than 130,000 people!

On Sunday, July 6th, 2025, Green Day will bring their dynamic presence to Greece for the very first time. Fans of the band will get to listen to some of their biggest hits, including Basket Case, When I Come Around, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, which have gone down in the annals of music history as some of the biggest rock anthems of the past few generations. They will also get to enjoy songs from their 14th studio album, Saviors, the latest in the band’s long line of chart-topping albums.
