Glimpses at the opus of Nikos Kazantzakis

Nikos Kazantzakis, the outstanding Greek author and philosopher -nominated not once but three times for the Nobel Prize for Literature- is certainly one of the most renowned scholars of the 20th century. Translated in numerous languages and much loved around the globe, his works constitute a mixture of touching details about his personal experiences and upbringing as well as a study on philosophy and life, given in his characteristic, incomparable prose.
On the occasion of the 60 years since his death, the National Library organizes a unique exhibition, where visitors will have the opportunity to view up close the writings and manuscripts of the beloved author, and reach to a deeper understanding of his work. The exhibition will be available up until the end of March, at the central Valianos building located at Panepistimiou Avenue.
