Oct 28, 2013 — Oct 28, 2013 • Category: Events
The Acropolis Museum celebrates the Greek National Holiday of October 28th with all day free entrance (opening hours: 8:00-20:00), gallery tasks and workshops for children. In particular, during that day, 10 gallery tasks for adults about the other gods of the Acropolis and 8 workshops for children aged 8-12 about myths in images will take place.

The gallery talks focus on gods and heroes that were worshipped on the Acropolis of Athens, except from goddess Athena. Archaeologists give speeches on the cult sites of Poseidon, Artemis, Zeus, Asclepius, Dionysus, Aphrodite and other minor gods that were found on the slopes of the Holy Rock. Today, visitors can see the remainings of these cult sites on the Acropolis Museum.
