Athens Gardens Festival 2013

The National Gardens in the centre of Athens will be filled with music the following days, from June 15th to 18th. The Athens Garden Festival will host urban acoustic music and performing arts.

Four days of classical and European music, Greek art music, various Mediterranean genres, soundtrack, jazz and interactive performing arts, pantomime and visual performances will turn the National Garden into a magical place of artistic expression and creativity.

The festival is part of the annual program Gardens of Athens that aim to promote the gardens of the city as a meeting point of art, culture and ecology. The entrance to the events is free.

Saturday, June 15th
6.30 p.m. Duo Capriccioso & Trio Cosa nosTres, Tribute to Spain and Latin America
7.30 p.m. Carousel, A journey from Greece to the Iberian Peninsula
8.30 p.m. Athens Symphony Orchestra, Dido and Aeneas

Sunday, June 16th
6.30 p.m. Antonis Batsakis tenor, Opera meets Jazz, Tsjaikovski and Hatzidakis, with pianist Benjamin Hatzikoumparoglou
7.30 p.m. National Conservatory, Founder: Manolis Kalomiris, 1926
Part A, Tribute to Antonio Vivaldi by the Hellenic Musica Viva string orchestra with Ludmila Limorova
Part B, Tribute to Manos Hatzidakis by The National Conservatory Guitarists with Vaggelis Boudounis
