Jun 05, 2016 — Jun 05, 2016 • Category: Events

This Sunday on the 5th of June, a new innovative project will be initiated on the occasion of the Athens Pride Festival 2016, for all the fans of alternative expression and physical exercise.
Along with the colorful and vibrant ambience of the festival, a parallel bike ride will be starting from the city center and more specifically at the junction of Ermou and Piraeus Street in front of the old OSY depot in the fancy area of Gazi. The ride will set off at 17:00 and there, participants will be having time to decorate their bikes and make them as fanciful and colorful as the festival itself.
Then, the ride will be following a simple yet long route of less than 10 km that will be starting from Gazi and will be ending at Kerameikos Square, where cyclists can chill and enjoy a coffee at one of the various cafes that are situated around the area.
For those who do not have their own bikes, you can come in contact with the organisation and arrange to rent one. Costs will be ranging from 5 to 10 euros.
Certainly, an alternative way to explore the center and the sights of Athens!
