Athens Cycling Tour 2011

With the message I leave space for the bicycle, I give life to my city, this year, the 20th Athens Cycling Run aims to highlight the importance of the bicycle as an alternative means of transport and a chance to make our life better. The cycling race will take place on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. The starting point will be at the Panathenaic Stadium at 10:00 am and the finishing point will be at Zappeion Megaron, in the heart of Athens. The starting point for people with disabilities will be at 9:45 am in Propylea, Panepistimiou Ave.  This year the cycling race is dedicated to the donation of human organs. At the same time, many events for children will take place at Rizari Park, in the centre of Athens, organized by the Organization of Youth and Sports of Athens. These events will take place on October 15th, 2011, from 17:00 to 19:00 pm. The photo is from www.tanea.gr
