Athens Classical Marathon

Following the yearly tradition, running fanatics -professionals and amateurs alike- will unite anew for the great celebration of the athletic spirit and history; Athens Marathon, the superior athletic event will take place this year on November 13th, attracting more than 10.000 runners from all around the world to follow its renowned classic route. As always, the race begins early in the morning and covers the 42 kilometer distance between Marathonas town and Athens, with the finishing line being the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro). A true challenge, both physically and mentally, the authentic marathon is an unforgettable experience, while for those who would like to partake but do not have the physical strength to complete the original race, there are 5 and 10 kilometer versions that they can join too.
