Athens Classic Marathon 2018

The most important running event in Greece is back for another year, so make sure you won't miss it!
It all started in 490 BC, when a news-bearing soldier ran from Marathon to Athens, after the battle between the Greeks and the Persians, in order to announce the Greek victory.
Due to its historic significance, this event is very popular. Thousands of runners from all over the world participate every year.
The course of the race is particularly demanding as the athletes cover approximately 42 kilometers till the finishing line. The race starts from Marathon and ends in Athens Panathenaic Stadium.
The participants will also have the chance to explore the ancient history of Greece, get to know Athens and enjoy everything that this experience has offer!
