“Art Nouveau” at the Benaki Museum

Visitors of the Benaki Museum will have the unique opportunity to admire an impressive collection of Art Nouveau exhibits that are originally hosted by the Badisches Landesmuseum in Germany, until May 21st. Due to the fruitful collaboration between the two institutions, the public will have the chance to get acquainted with the major artistic movement of the 20th century through a variety of exhibits that derive from countries such as Germany, France, Belgium and Austria.
The exhibition includes characteristic items of apparent Art Nouveau influence, from furniture and everyday utensils to decorative objects and jewelry. Among the celebrated artists are names such as Josef Hoffmann, Hector Guimard and Josef Maria Olbrich, while the exhibition will be hosted at the main building of the Benaki Museum, with an entrance fee of 7 euros.
