Art Athina 2024

With a rich history that spans over 30 years, Art Athina is the most influential contemporary art event in the entire country and one of the oldest art fairs in Europe. This year, it returns more dynamic and diverse than ever, bringing together artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers from all over the world. Stretching over four days, from the 19th to the 23rd of September 2024, this highly anticipated exhibition will be held at the Zappeion Megaron of Athens, covering not only the historic mansion but also the surrounding gardens and the adjacent Aigli open-air cinema.

The core of the art fair consists of works from 71 Greek and 10 international galleries which are exhibited in a fruitful dialogue. At the same time, there are a series of parallel events, including a design section that combines traditional and contemporary techniques, pushing the boundaries of creativity, and a projects section that gives the floor to independent art spaces. Moreover, there will be talks exploring the role of art galleries in handling conflicts, as well as thought-provoking videos and performances focusing on sustainability and inclusivity. A special educational program will also be available for children.
