8th International Dancing Festival

The International Dancing Festival, that is organized by the Municipality of Athens, will take place for the 8th year on the row in the open yard of Technopolis Gazi, from July 1st to 18th. Some of the best dancing groups of Europe will come for another year in Athens sharing one common goal: to stress that modern dancing, unburdened by the techniques and rules of the classical ballet, attracts these days a continuously growing number of people. This year, three very important dancing groups from Spain, Norway and Germany have been invited to present their work. The Gelabert Azzopardi Companyia de Dance from Barcelona will present the projects Sense fi and Conquassabit. Jo Stromgren Kompani will present for the first time A dance tribute to the art of football, while the group Folkwang Tanzstrudio will present the performances Frauenballet and Schimmer. Representing Greece, the Dancing-Theatre Group Oktana will present the new performance of Konstantinos Rigos, entitled Dressed Undressed.
