10th International Animation Festival

The 10th International Animation Festival of Athens is returning to the city, this time with a special schedule to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Dozens of projections, competitions, tributes and artistic events are included in the schedule of the Festival, which is taking place from March 26th to April 1st. Events and projections are taking place in the Greek Film Archive, in Alkyonis New Star Cinema at Viktoria Square and in Romatzo Building at Omonoia Square, Athens.

The tributes of the International Animation Festival are dedicated to two important Greek figures of animation, Thanassis Rentzis and Panagiotis Rappas. In cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Athens, the 10th Animation Festival will also present Polish animation films that won the Polish Animation Festival O PLA! 2014. The artistic group exhibition Anima Mundi is organized during the Festival.

The competition part of the Festival is divided in six categories:

- Student animated movies (290)
- Experimental
- Greek animated movies (19)
- Marathon Animation
