General Description

Day 1:

We will start our journey from Athens and head toward the Corinth Canal, where we will make a brief photo stop. Continuing our trip, we will reach the Ancient Site and the majestic Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, widely known for its unique and extraordinary acoustics!
After a short stop at the town of Nafplion, we will drive toward the outstanding Mycenae to visit theandnbsp?Archaeological Site of Mycenae and the Treasury of Atreus, the tomb of King Agamemnon atop the hill of Panagitsa! Passing by key towns of Central Peloponnese, such as Tripolis and Megalopolis, we will arrive at Olympia.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:

In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast before being guided through the Archaeological Site of Olympia, which hosts the Ancient Stadium, the Temple of Zeus, and an Archaeological Museum. Continuing our journey through the valleys of Elia and Achaia we will cross the cable bridge of Rion-Antirion, which connects the Peloponnese to Central Greece! We will arrive at the new village of Delphi passing by the stunning towns of Nafpaktos and Itea.

Day 3:

After breakfast, we will begin our day with a guided visit to the Archaeological Site of Delphi, which exhibits various famous remnants, including the Ancient Theater of Delphi and the Temple of Apollo. We will also pay a visit to the Delphi Archaeological Museum, before leaving for Kalambaka, a town situated at the foot of the Meteora rock complex.

Day 4:

On the fourth day, we will have breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to visit two out of the twenty four Eastern Orthodox monasteries of Meteora, a fascinating rock complex that offers awe-inspiring views of the land below! Leaving these unique rock formations, with exceptional geological interest, we will drive through the land of Thessaly and be in awe of the imposing Mount Olympos, the tallest mountaintop in Greece! We will reach Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in the country, in the late afternoon.

Day 5:

We will enjoy breakfast before having an extended tour around Thessaloniki, a high-prestige city since the Byzantine period! We will explore impressive monuments of the Byzantine past, such as distinctive churches and the Museum of Byzantine Culture, whilst driving by the most must-see monuments of the city like the Rotonda, the Arch of Galerius, and of course the White Tower by the seaside!
In the afternoon, you can take the chance to freely walk around Thessaloniki and discover its vibrant and cosmopolitan neighborhoods!

Day 6:

On the penultimate day of our trip, we will start our tour of the region of Macedonia! First, we will stop at the mesmerizing Edessa Town, a serene spot that boasts highly impressive waterfalls! Afterward, we will reach Naoussa and visit the historical School of Aristotle, where the philosopher tutored Alexander the Great and other young Macedonians!
Our next stop will be Vergina, where we will be guided around the fascinating Museum of the Royal Tombs, featuring the findings from the tomb of King Phillip the Second! As soon as our museum visit is concluded, we will hop on the bus to visit Veria and the Bema of Saint Paul. You will have free time to stroll through the Jewish Quarter of Barbouta and the colorful market before we return to Thessaloniki.

Day 7:

On our last day, after breakfast, we will drive to Pella, the ancient capital of the Macedonian Kingdom, and marvel at the floor mosaics housed in the New Archaeological Museum of Pella! Afterward, we will pay a visit to the Archaeological Park of Dion right before starting our return trip. Passing through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (short photo stop at the Statue of Leonidas), and Thebes before we arrive in Athens in the late evening hours.

Note:
• For the visit to Meteora Monasteries, ladies need to wear long skirts, and gentlemen need to wear long trousers.
• Clients who stay on the coastline will depart for their hotels at around 19:30.
