    Relaxing on weekdays
Athens has a few good beaches and you have to travel about an hour or more to get one. Kokkiko Limanaki is such a nice, relaxing beach close to Rafina. It will take you about 2 hours to go there from the centre. The beach seems clean but the seafloor has big pebbles. The coast is short and big rocks are around the beach. You can go to Kokkino Limanaki by car only and the best time is on a weekday evening, because on weekends you will meet much traffic. You park the car and go down a short street to reach the beach. Some summer houses are there. There is also a cafe on top of a hill overlooking the sea, but no taverns or hotels.
