The Art Collection of the National Bank is housed in the Museum of the Bank of Greece, in the center of Athens.
The National Bank has been contributing to the preservation of art and culture since its establishment in 1841 and its private collection has been growing significantly since the early 20th century.
The main purpose of the establishment of the Museum is to help preserve the cultural heritage of modern Greece and to educate visitors on various social, historical, and economic aspects of art. Temporary exhibitions and events are regularly organized.

The museum's collection consists of coins, engraving plates and paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, mostly from Munich School painters from Greece. The museum also promotes the works of contemporary Greek artists. Over 1,300 objects are currently on display.

Note that the museum is wheelchair-friendly, too.

The museum is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:00 to 15:00, and on Thursdays from 9:00 to 19:00.
Admission is free.
