Pelion Villages: Vizitsa village in Pelion Vizitsa village Pelion:This little mountainous village has the most well-preserved Peliot mansions; they have been restored by the Greek Tourist Board (EOT) and have all wood-carvings on the walls and painted glass on the windows. There is a catholicon, work of Zipanioti, dated from 1797 in the monastery of Agios Ioannis tou Prodromou.The north side of Pelion is an area with villages lost in dense forests of almond trees.
