Monastiraki village
Nafpaktos: Monastiraki is a picturesque village located at 12 kilometres East of Nafpaktos town. It is a peaceful place of the Municipality of Efpalio in the prefecture of Fokida, Sterea, near the borders with Etoloakarnania.
Apart from the possibility to see pretty different landscapes - green hills, blue waters, stony beaches, and wild lands - it offers interesting lodging options such as comfortable villas, cottages and chalets on the beach for all tastes.Most tourists arrive in Monastiraki on Saturday and stay for the weekend, although some others decide to stay for longer periods. The closest airport is the one in Athens, and they can arrive via Patras station - at 35 kilometres -, or on the Rio highway, at 30 km.
Those who are fond of swimming and fishing will be delighted, as the waters are excellent for these sports at the pebbled narrow beach of Monastiraki, while the turquoise-blue waters are not too calmed, but they are good for windsurfing. There are also excellent shops in town, and the place results ideal for those who like family holidays on the beach, where they can relax, visit some culture-related places, and do some trekking. |
