Although Nafpaktos counts on many attractions in terms of historical and cultural sites, it also provides great beaches available for several activities.
The main beaches of Nafpaktos are Psani –the western part of the port beachfront- and Gribovo –the eastern part the same location- both awarded with the Blue Flag and are perfectly organised. Regarding the available water-sports, these beaches are obviously great for swimming.
Nafpaktos sheltered bay and clean sea makes it available for water-sports, such as scuba diving. Hiking, sailing and fishing also have their place on Nafpaktos beaches.
The nearby sandy beaches of Chiliadou –found 11 km east-, Platanitis, Monastiraki –both at a distance of 12 km- and Marathias –at 17 km- are ideal in these terms...
Nafpaktos has also a sailing club on Kathodos Dorieon Str in Gribovo beach. The river Evinos is suitable for canoeing, kayaking, and rafting, as well.
