Information about the Museums in Sterea, in Greece but also information about museums in many locations of the region: One of the most important museums of Sterea and in Greece is the Archaeological Museum of Delphi which highlights the history of the Delphic temple and the most important sanctuary of ancient Greece. Its rich collections showcase architectural sculptures, statues and outstanding artworks. The museum lies close to the ancient site.

In the modern village of Delphi lies the Museum of Delphic Festivals which dedicated to the most important event for the country. The museum is housed in the house of Angelos and Eva Sikelianos, whose efforts succeeded in reviving the ancient festival. In this lovely establishment you can see a nice selection from their private work and items that relate to the event.

In the historical town of Mesolongi, visitors can see several museums dedicated to the folk art of the area as well as the Municipal Art Gallery. Very interesting is also the Vaso Katraki Museum in Etoliko, dedicated to the art of engraving.
