Church Of Agios Spiridon
An impressive church with two tall bell towers, the church of Agios Spiridon is located in the centre of Mesolongi. It is made entirely of stone.

Monastery Of Saint Simeon
Located 8 km from Mesolongi, the Monastery of Saint Simeon was built in 1740, during the Ottoman rule. As it served as a shelter for Greek fighters, it was burnt down by Turkish troops. After the Greek Independence, the monastery was rebuilt in 1836.

The Museum of Spiridon and Harilaos Trikoupis, two important prime-ministers of Greece, is housed in their family house. It includes personal items, photographs, prizes and manuscripts of the family.

Museum Of Kostis Palamas
The Museum of Kostis Palamas is housed in the family house of the famous Greek poet who came from Mesolongi. It houses personal items and photographs of the poet.
The Folklore Museum was established in 1997 by the Cultural Centre of Mesolongi. Its items depict folk life in the area.

Moschandreou Art Gallery
The Art Gallery of Christos and Sofia Moschandreou was established in 1996 in a renovated building that dates from 1829. It includes works of painting and sculpture of famous Greek artists. Frequently, it organizes seminars and art workshops.
The Museum of History and Arts- Municipal Gallery is housed in the old Town Hall of Mesolongi, Botsari square. It displays paintings of Greek and foreign painters with scenes from the historical Exodus, maps, gravures, weapons, statues of prime-ministers from Mesolongi and other items. There is also a special room dedicated to Lord Byron.

The Sea Lake of Mesolongi was formed with the endings of two rivers. It is an important economical source for the locals, as many vivarium work there. Small islets dot the sea lake that has been declared a Natural Park.
The Garden of the Heroes in Mesolongi was created in 1829 with the decision of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of Greece. It is dedicated to the heroes of the Greek Revolution. Tombs and statues of many heroes and people who died in the Exodus are found there.
