Before Troulida beach Mesolongi: The small islet of Tourlida is located right in front of the town of Mesolongi, at the spot where the sea lake meets the gulf of Patras. This islet is not inhabited, except for some fishermen that have small wooden houses and their boats moored there. Many visitors to Mesolongi go in summer to swim in the sandy beaches of Tourlida. At some points, there are lines of umbrellas to protect from shade but the region has no other tourist facilities. The water can be chilly sometimes and on the opposite side, people can see the mountains of Peloponnese.
