Delphi was entirely moved a couple of km away, so new modern houses were built keeping thus their traditional charm.
n the southeast of the village, there is the Archaeological Museum and the Ancient Site of Delphi Greece. Some of the most important archaeological findings of Delphi are exposed in the museum, including the bronze statue of the Charioteer, the Sphynx, the twin statues of Kouros and many other statues, daily pieces and weaponry.
The actual ste of Delphi Greece needs at least two hours of walking, as it extends along the slopes of a hill and has two parts: the northern part with the temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the theatre and the stadium on top, and the southern part with the temple of Athena Pronea, the Gymnasium and the Treasury of Marsailles. Over the last years, there is an effort to open the route to Kastalia Spring, through forests and rocks. This was the spring where people would go to clean their sin, before asking for the god's oracle.
Many tour buses start from Athens and other large towns to Delphi, while it is also easy to go by rental car. Close to Delphi, there is the mountain town of Arachova, and the beach resorts of Itea and Galaxidi.
