Churches in Delphi

Delphi is one of the most impressive regions in Greece with a wide variety of surviving buildings and historical sites. The only church of Delphi is found in the modern town, the Orthodox Cathedral of Agios Loukas, one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture. Only ten kilometers from Delphi is the beautiful town of Arachova with its famous churches like the one of Saint George, the patron Saint of the town.

At the center lies also the church of Agios Nikolaos. Seven kilometers from Chrysso is one of the most famous religious sites, the Christian Orthodox monastery of Prophet Elias. The seaside town of Glaxidi can be reached following the road from Itea. On the waterfront is the church of Agios Nikolaos.
