Arachova Reviews -General

It is a shame that such a beautiful town is not much advertised as a great ski spot in Greece. We discovered Arachova by chance in your site, while we were looking for a weekend place near Athens (we had come in Athens for a conference in December). I searched in some travel guides about Greece and not a word about Arachova!! Anyway, I feel lucky I saw this lovely place. It is like a village actually (which we rarely see nowadays) but gets very crowded in winter because of the ski centre that is closeby. Restaurants cook excellent there and all cafeterias have great views to the mountains. Isn't it nice to drink hot Greek coffee, while outside it is freezing? Ah, yes, dress well because in winter there it is very cold. Forgot to mention that Delphi is very close (about 30 minutes from Arachova by car), so you can visit a famous ancient site, too.
