If you like winter, snow, traditional Greek villages and warm coffe houses to snuggle in, then Arachova is one of the best places to be in winter. Arachova is very close to Athens and it is very easy to get there.

Arachova combines the rock traditional houses, with the many coffee shops, restaurants, night clubs and hotels, in a way that the village keeps its traditional and friendly attitude, even in the cold heart of the winter, when it usually accommodates many tourists. We will never forget that chocolate pie we had in one of these warm and cozy coffee shops in a cold winter evening.

Be sure to visit Arachova after December, so you are able to visit the Parnassos Skiing Center. Skiing center opens in December every year, and is one of the most popular places to be in Greece. It would be a shame to visit Arachova and miss skiing, wouldn't it?
