The villages of Skyros have preserved their traditional architecture, with the small whitewashed houses, the flat roofs and the paved paths. Chora, the capital village, and Linaria, the port, are main villlages on the island. Other settlements are found all over the island but they remain secluded all year round.

Description: Magazia is a seaside village close to Skyros Town. Due to the sandy beach and the tourist facilities, it gets very popular in summer.
Location: 11 km south west of Skyros Town
Description: This seaside vilage is spread in a region of great natural beauty. Many nice coves are found near Pefkos.
