Skyros is the largest of the Sporades islands and has a population of about 3,000 permanent inhabitants. It is mostly known as a mountainous island and a large part of it is covered by lush forests. However, the south part of Skyros is pretty rocky and bare, in contrast to the north.
Every year, Skyros receives plenty of tourists who are seeking for some relaxing and peaceful vacations, away from the noise of other areas. In fact, Skyros has developed enough over the years to provide its visitors a comfortable stay with all the possible amenities. |
