Skyros: Palamari beach

Palamari beach Skyros: Palamari is a settlement with great archaeological interest. It is located in the northeastern coast of Skyros, 13 km from Chora. This prehistoric settlement had a fortress and a port, which means that it was very important in the ancient times. The numerous excavations have brought to light several remains of settlements and roads which all witnessed the organized city planning of Palamari, back in those years.

Such remains have also been found in the beach situated a few meters away from the ancient remains. The beach has crystal waters and relaxing surroundings. It is mostly a secluded beach, thus you will not find umbrellas or any kind of tourist facilities.
