Part of the beach is covered with pebbles and sharp shingles while tall rock formations line most of the bay. Cedar trees growing over the rocks add to the serenity of the spot and this lake like location is popular among visitors to the region for swimming, sunbathing and kayaking. Even then there are no facilities here other than the ones near Atsitsa town.

On top of the hill near the bay is the tranquil chapel of Agios Petros.
