Skyros Beaches: Achili beach in Skyros Greece Achili beach Skyros: Another attractive beach south of Skyros is Achili, or else Ormos Achilis beach. The beach was one of the best beaches in the area until the pristine charm of the area was practically ruined by the sprawling infrastructure. The destruction of this once serene beach can be blamed on the government who wanted to develop it as a yacht Marina. The motive behind such a move by the government was to divert some of the yacht tourism from Turkey.

This has not only devastated the unspoilt natural beauty of the place but had a direct impact on the tourism industry with significant drop of the tourists visiting this place.
