Skopelos Villages: Elios village in Skopelos Elios village Skopelos: Located 19 kilometres west of the capital is the fairly new little settlement of Elios. It was built in 1981 after the destruction of the village of Klima by the strong earthquakes of 1965; for that, this seaside village is also known as Neo Klima (new Klima). Erected in a region full of pine trees, this village has new houses with terracotta-tiles roofs. A little wharf has been built of boats and has a little breakwater to protect it. Elios or Neo Klima offers many hotels and rooms for rent as well as cafes and restaurants.
