 Skopelos's
local products are famous since the past centuries.
Skopelitan were exporting their products in other parts
of Greece and even abroad.
For the transportation they were using the ships they
were building. Some of the high quality local products
of Skopelos are the pure and fine olive oil, excellent
wine (which great quality is famous since ancient times),
golden honey and juicy or dried plums.
Some of the specialities of the island are the Skopelitan
cheese pie, the tasteful blackfish casserole with onions
(stifado) and a fabulous dish consisting of meat with
fruits. |
