Skopelos Museums: The Museum of Cultural Heritage "Perseus Athineos" on Skopelos Greece

The Museum of Cultural Heritage in Skopelos: The Museum of Cultural Heritage and the Library "Perseus Athineos" opened its doors to the public in July 2008 in Glossa village, Skopelos. The museum is found in a stone house built in 1926, which has been renovated by local artisans. The building has a lovely balcony to see the whole village and the sea surrounding the island. Do not forget that Glossa is the village with the highest altitude in the Sporades.

The aim of the museum is to preserve and promote the cultural history of the island of Skopelos through naval history, handwritings and personal items. The museum was created with the continuous effort of individual people to make something special for their island. The museum was completed in June 2008 and opened to public a month later. It works under the aegis of the Hellenic Foundation.
