Best thing on Skiathos were the beaches: especially Banana, Koukounaries, Lalaria but there are also other excelent beaches there. Its worth laying on other beach every day. Visit as many beaches as you can. They have great sand, crystal clear waters, best view.
Skiathos also has great bars and very nice tavernas. We recommend eating especially in the tavernas that are on the city guide. It is a great idea with the city guide that is free and you can find it at almost every kiosk. Very helpful. You will not regret that. We haven't done that in the first place and we have regret that. In the town, try the shops that are no on the main alley, they are a bit cheaper. The most interesting with cafes is the one where you sit on pillows on the old port.
Extend and develop the parking lot in Skiathos. To keep the island as it is now and not to transform it in what Corfu island has become with all those international hotel chains. Keep it wild because it is very beautiful as it is now. In some parts of the island, there were too many bees, we did not feel very comfortable there and unfortunately we got bit by one. I think that the autorities should do something about that as there are people alergic to bees.
