Skiathos Reviews -General

There are some very good restaurants on the island. The best are the old traditional tavernas in the back streets of the town (eg. Folia). There are also lovely high-standard international style restaurants in the town, but unfortunately some of them are a disgrace, especially for the food. There has been a clear change for the worse in the last four years (since I've last been in the island). Also the service (or the lack of it) was horrible in some places. For example, a waitor in a cafe by the port didn't speak at all English and was very rude even when spoken Greek to. The real Greek atmosphere was lost in some places and this is very sad.
