Expensive, crowded but beautiful

Skiathos Review:
I quite liked Skiathos even if I found it a bit expensive and crowded. The port of the island has a picturesque old part were it is a pleasure to have a night walk.
The rest of the port is modern, full of restaurants. The town is cute, with some very beautiful mansions and a lot of narrow alleys and steps. If you avoid the main road were are all the bars and pubs (and all the crowd) you will find walking around the capital very pleasing.
The beaches of Skiathos are famous for their beauty and for the fact that they are surrounded by trees which are descending to the sea; it is true, they are very impressive but, unfortunately, they are also crowded. If you are a nudist, check out the beach called Little Banana, after the Koukounaries Beach; it is small, with sand and pine trees.
