Skiathos is not directly linked to the port of Piraeus, Athens. Instead, it is linked by normal ferry with the ports of Agios Konstantinos (the trip takes about 1 hour and a half), in Central Greece, and Volos (about 2 hours and a half).

Skiathos is also connected by ferry to Skopelos (1 hour) and Alonissos (1 hour and a half).

There are also ferries connencting Skiathos to Thessaloniki, Northern Greece (about 6 hours). The ferry from Thessaloniki also connects the island with Naxos (13 hours), Ios (14 hours), Paros (15 hours), Syros (10 hours), Santorini (20 hours) and Heraklion (24 hours).

Flying Dolphins (hydrofoils)
Regular daily flying dolphins connect Skiathos with Skopelos (20 minutes) and Agios Konstantinos (1 hour).
