Skiathos Town is the only main settlement and the capital and main harbour of the island of Skiathos. It is a picturesque town full of beautiful traditional mansions, neoclassical buildings, lovely marble squares and stone-paved narrow streets, alleys and stairs. Taverns and restaurants are boarding the waterfront and bars, pubs, clubs and many shops are scattered around the narrow alleys. The highest spot of the town is a wonderful windmill.
