Having visited Skiathos 24 times in the last 25 years we feel qualified enough to comment on the excellent Mandraki Village Hotel. This was our 9th stay at the Mandraki - the first since the renovations.
Now a superior rated hotel, with first class rooms and suites, top quality restaurant, fine gardens and landscapes and excellent management and staff - all eager to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.
We would award the Mandraki FIVE STARS!
We are looking forward to our 25th Skiathos visit in 2008 - obviously at THE MANDRAKI VILLAGE HOTEL.

What can one say about the Mandraki Village hotel! Definitely the place to stay when visiting the unique island of Skiathos. From ths moment you arrive to the time of your departure the service you receive is first class.
We were highly impressed with not only the hotel itself but also its friendly and hard working staff making our stay very memorable and enjoyable. A home from home.
Look out for Pavlinka when you first arrive. She is a gem. Leonora, Steffano and Franko will ensure that your experience in the Elia restaurant is pleasurable. Mario in the bar will wait on you attentively.

We stayed at the Mandraki Hotel from 18th July to 1st August 2007 and it was wonderful. Exactly as shown and described on the website.

The whole complex is decorated and maintained to a very high standard. Far higher than would normally be expected in Greece. It would not be out of place in London or Paris or any other European city.

The staff are very professional, but also friendly and very helpful.

The food in Elias restaurant again is of extremely high standard and is presented beautifully. My only critisism is that it should do more traditional Greek dishes rather than cordon bleu.

My only minor critisisms are: (1) the pool is coated in a brown pebble like substance, rather than the usual blue tiles, and this makes the water look not especially inviting. Also the temperature of the pool water is that of warm bath water; it would be much nicer a few degrees cooler. and (2) there are pretty white curtains at the windows but no shutters, and we had an east facing room. Consequently we were woken each morning at about 6.30 with the sun blazing through. A bit early for me, especially when I'm on holiday.

All in all we had a wonderful time and I would thoroughly recommend Koukounaries and the Mandraki hotel to anyone.

fabulous hotel.recently renovated to a very high standard.rooms spacious and cleaned every day.hotel grounds superb with trees and flowers.staff very friendly and helpful espeically mario the barman.onsite restaurant elias nice and good value .only ten mins walk to wonderful koukanaries beach.has air which is very important.would recommend this hotel without any doubt and hopefully will return ourselves someday.
