Glyfa is a really beautiful and picturesque beach. It is not very long, but it usually doesn't get very crowded, even in high season. The shoreline is pebbled, which I prefer because sand doesn't stick on you. The water in Glyfa is perfect, warm and clean. Do not rely on public buses to go, because their itinerary is not very prompt. Prefer to rent a scooter and make the tour of the island. Glyfa is in the centre of the island, but rather far from Patitiri, the capital village of Alonissos.
