This fact offers protection from the sea winds, and makes the waters tranquil and ideal for swimming and snorkelling for people of all ages. The lack of high waves gives the waters a lake-like look and visitors feel tempted to enter the waters for a bath, and they sunbathe or read under the colourful umbrellas rented in the area.
Among the typical beach activities offered, photography is, perhaps, one of the preferred hobbies by tourists and occasional visitors, as the sea view from the top of the gorge is really stunning. It allows for admiring the topography of Tzortzi Gialos Beach in a single shot, and recording the view of the transition between the blue waters far from the shore into the light emerald waters close to the beach.
The inviting long and wide strip of land seems small from a distance, especially if it is compared to the deep bay where some recreational and fishing ships sail around. As there are just a few houses in the area, they mingle with the rest of the landscape and they don’t spoil the view at all. |
