Spetses transportation

Spetses transportation
About transportation in Spetses island, Greece

Cars are banned in the town of Spetses and generally visitors can't come to Spetses with their car. Only few locals are allowed to use their cars after special permission by the municipality and not in the centre of the town. The town is easy to walk due to the flat landscape, while many visitors choose to rent a motorbike or bicycle to get around.

Two buses depart from Agios Mamas (a short walk from Dapia port in the town) and transfer visitors to beaches around the island, while boats from Dapia also go to few beaches. A very usual method to move in Spetses is the horse carriage. There are many horse carriages in Dapia, the port where ferries arrive, and transfer tourists around the town.
