Easter
Two local customs are held during Easter festivities
in Spetses. The burn of the effigy of Judas on the Easter
Sunday and the burn a fishing boat to signal the resurrection
of Christ.
Anargiria
This art festival is taking place during August in the
campus of the Anargirios and Korgialenios School, in
Spetses Town. Various cultural events, emphasising mostly
on performing and visual arts, are taking place.

Armada
The festival of Armada (Armata) consists in various
events which are taking place during a whole week and
held in honour of the Greek Independence.
The culminating event takes place on the 8th of September
and is a reconstitution of the fire-bombing of the Ottoman
fleet and flag-ship by the Spetsiote fleet that took
place on this day in the year of 1821, outside the harbour
of Spetses.
